Screening "It's a Girl": 200.000 Girls Missing in the world

In India, China and many other parts of the world today, girls are killed, aborted and abandoned simply because they are girls. The United Nations estimates as many as 200 million girls are missing in the world today because of this so-called “gendercide”.

Screening "Yermas": 300.000 Forced Sterilizations in Peru

Between 1995 and 2000 over 300,000 women were sterilized, mostly from rural areas.
The plan of the Peruvian government, sought to fight poverty.
The Public Prosecutor Office has dissmissed the case in January 2014. Once again, the authorities have responded with indifference, failing to take into account the many complaints.

MujeresMundi has organized a film screening and a roundtable about this case.
