Why we do it?
MujeresMundi strongly believes that through linking activism and raising-up voices and efforts we can improve lives. Nowadays, it is not possible to talk about politics, health improvements, access to education and sustainable environment without talking about women affairs. The issue of women and their role within their communities are a valuable and non-forgettable subject when developing policies and programmes across governments. Within this framework, MujeresMundi's efforts seek to improve the access to human rights of communities where we have our network.
What we seek for?
MujeresMundi is a non-profit association working in multi-year initiatives and developing a series of events.
As part of our Strategic Plan, we seek:

To become a strong, influencing and well-resourced women's organization advocating for activists and organizations on gender equality, worldwide.

To renew and expand of the agendas of women’s issues activists and organisation overseas through stronger interconnections, alliances and partnerships among diverse expressions of women’s organizing across sectors.

To create stronger alliances between women’s rights movements and other social movements to advance their agendas in pursuing improvement of their communities.

To have a greater inclusion of women’s rights activists and organizations in key development policy EU spaces (both in terms of presence and effective voices in influencing these spaces to advance gender equality).

To be more visible, voiced and engaged young women in women’s organizations and movements supporting clearly young women’s work while highlighting it, including all MujeresMundi initiatives.

To have a more politically engaged and expanded MujeresMundi membership that includes increased representation from underrepresented sectors.
